about
I'd never made a piano based song before because--honestly--my piano skills are somewhere between "beginner" and "Hey, stop toying around with that instrument and let the professionals play." With that in mind, I created this record over the last two days with the intention of putting it out before the weekend came to a close. If I gave it too much thought, I probably wouldn't put it out at all.
I wanted to give the song a bit more character, so I started searching for a three syllable name to attribute the record to. The name "Amanda" came from a "100 Popular Baby Names" webpage online. Not wanting to to look through B through Z, I decided that was good enough. And that, my friends, is called "Lazy Songwriting 101."
But hey, sounds good enough right?

lyrics
I think it's time to tell you,
I think it's time to break the news,
Oh no...Oh no...
I think I love you.
You've been coming and going,
All the while my love's been growing,
Oh no...Oh no...
I think I love you.
All my pain
will go away
the day you come out and find me,
You came along
and sang your song
and all my blues were behind me, oh no.
I might need you,
more than you need me.
Cause when I hold you,
there's nowhere else that I'd rather be,
Amanda.
It was our conversation,
An obvious realization
Oh no...Oh no...
I think I love you.
Ain't no other excuse,
You're the one I'd only choose.
Oh no...Oh no...
I think I love you.
Hey!
I might need you,
more than you need me.
Cause when I hold you,
there's nowhere else that I'd rather be,
Amanda.
I think it's time to tell you,
I think it's time to break the news,
Oh no...Oh no...
I think I love you.
